Dry Needling
Dry Needling
A modern treatment with a monofilament needle to release muscle tightness and trigger points, decrease myofascial restrictions, and reduce neuromuscular pain.
Does it hurt?
Most people would say no and often describe feeling a sensation of the tight muscles "melting away" during the treatment. Initially, it is common to either feel nothing or what could be described as a mosquito bite. In some cases, it is possible to feel slight tenderness or a muscle twitch. This should dissipate immediately with pausing or redirecting the path of the monofilament. You as the patient are in complete control during this treatment and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. Please discuss any concerns you may have with your practitioner if you are considering dry needling for the first time.
Postural Restoration
Do you ever feel like your body is tilted or shifted out of place?
Some may say they feel like one leg is longer than the other, they may describe leaning over towards one direction, or "I don't want to have that hump on my back when I'm older."
With multiple treatment options, we can promote your body into proper symmetrical alignment.
